You'll never know the truth.

These days 'I like' thumps up turn up everywhere. I still have not figured out what they might be good for. Who really cares if so many unknown, incognitos tell others that they like something?

But what really irks me the most is the glaring absence, in most cases, of a 'I don't like' thumb. It reminds me of Hotel California, where you check out, but never leave. It's not normal and totally unbalanced.

People who add the I 'like' button to their postings and sites should, for the sake of fairness, have the courage to also add the 'I don't like' button, otherwise this whole smooching is for the birds and does not really serve any purpose.

Beside more than a few self-indulging, attention craving blogs, useless information websites and no-news news, who deserved (and have brought it upon them self) to be disliked, would probably get, rightly so, both thumbs down.

Now if your brilliant, original and inspiring article, posting or website would still prevail with thousands of 'I like' thumbs, versus the usual naysayers, (some tiny, unimportant minority, who don't like anything), than you would know for sure: You have created something universally great, and the glory is all yours. On the Internet that's forever

But if you don't post the 'I don't like' thumb, than you'll never know the truth.
